Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. has over 95 years of history in the Baltimore area helping others help themselves. Goodwill collects reusable items for resale in our retail stores and uses that money to train people for work and living skills, instilling dignity and purpose in countless people’s lives.
Today, in our region including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Cecil County, Harford County, Howard County and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, we employ more than 700 individuals, operate more than 29 retail stores, provide 11 career development centers and deliver a variety of commercial services at several locations, including Social Security buildings, State buildings, the Coast Guard and Ft. Meade.
Most importantly, we annually provide services to more than 39,000 people in need of assistance because of physical, mental or other social barriers and we place over 2,500 people in jobs giving them “not a charity, but a chance.”
