Job Description:

 A Selector works individually selecting full case grocery items from a warehouse pick slot.  The selector fits these items on a pallet (Are you good at Tetris?), plastic wraps the bundles, and delivers the pallets to a dock where they are loaded onto a trailer. Audio headsets are used and the selector hears the item in the order to be picked from the slot through the headset.

This is a physically demanding position where you will be constantly standing, walking, riding, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork.  You will be lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs to 60 lbs. You could frequently be stooping, balancing, and hearing. .

 Your safety is our ultimate concern so Steel Toed shoes are required.

 Essential duties following; other duties may be assigned:

• Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards.
• Use a headset to find individual items within warehouse
• Remove full case(s) of product from storage rack and place on pallet
• Maneuver pallet on an electric pallet jack until full or order is complete
• Ensure item pick accuracy and safety of product to prevent damageh
• Inform supervisor of any discrepancies in case quantity and/or product description
• Manually wrap the pallet by circling load with roll of plastic wrap until secure

Physical Requirements:

Constant- standing, walking, driving, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork.  Lifting of objects weighing from less than 20 lbs to 60 lbs.

Frequent- stooping, balancing, and hearing

Occasional- pushing, sitting, feeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, gripping of items ranging from under 20 lbs to over 60 lbs

Description of Work Environment:

Temperature of freezer warehouses can range from -20° to -10° Fahrenheit.

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Experience with one or more of the following areas preferred:
• Warehouse selector or other warehouse positions.
• Manual labor and/or pallet jack experience.
• Ability to work overtime is required.
• Working safely is a Condition of Employment at C&S.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

 There are several different schedules:

Friday and Sunday,
Sunday, Thursday and Friday,
Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday

 All day shift hours TBD.
